I took my family for breakfast! It was excellent!! Lots to choose from with fresh ingredients! Pleasant wait staff and good coffee! A Harriston must!!
Nice menu, with a special of the day. We enjoyed an old favorites...BUT with salad and kettle chips. The hubby had a Monticristo. So reasonably priced and good service.

Had read other reviews on Tripadvisor about South Street Cafe on Harriston's main street, but hadn't been able to coordinate our trips with their opening hours. Lucked out today for their 10-2 brunch. We were hooked before we even walked in the door when we read their sidewalk sign featuring "Rib Benny". How could we not!The menu selections are enough to please a wide range of customers. We had 1 Rib Benny and 1 "Light" Traditional Breakfast. The wait staff was pleasant, the restaurant small, but cozy and the service was excellent. The Rib Benny came with a Bacon Bourbon Bearnaise sauce (can you hear the angels singing?) served with 2 perfectly poached eggs on homemade biscuit halves, delish home fries and a field greens salad. Wow!The "Light" Traditional breakfast included 1 egg of your choice (perfect sunny side up), home fries, 4 significant pieces of Harrison Packers (local) bacon (I'll be hitting their butcher shop for more of that), plus field greens salad, a homemade tea biscuit, butter and jam. If this was light I'm not sure I could manage a "Regular" Traditional breakfast and still be able to walk after.Great coffee completed the meal. We will definitely be back.
Lovely quaint small town modern eclectic eatery with Toronto style cuisine! Amazing staff, fabulous food, great prices..modern decor..a MUST if you're visiting town or passing through toward cottage country.
