i stopped here the other day with my parents i ordered an everything bagel with plain cheese and it was really good (also not too heavy i didn't get sleepy afterwards) i really liked the way it was like the softness saltiness or the slight hardness on the outside of it we sat on the outside patio and it was enjoyable enough View all feedback.
What Chris F doesn't like about Mr. J's Bagels Deli:
After my order was forgotten we proceeded to wait 25 minutes for biscuits and gravy. The staff is fresh out of high school and made no effort to apologize or make amends. We were suggested this location and left incredibly disappointed. We won’t be returning. View all feedback.
Great bagel in Harrisonburg they have 3 locations around town so take your pick. I just opted for a salt bagel w cream cheese I had to scrape some of the salt off because it was just a weeeee too much. Will try the BEC next time as that's always a good litmus test.
I stopped by after some recommendation from some JMU alums on a mid Saturday morning. It was a couple people waiting for their food. Inside is nice decorated with a homage to JMU. My wife and I ordered a large coffee, a steak, egg and pepper Jack cheese on a garlic bagel, and a sausage, egg and cheese on an onion bagel.Service was friendly, but it took a pretty long time to get our food; 20 mins from when we order to when they called our name. I understand if it was a morning rush, but that seems pretty slow for just a sandwich when that’s one of the few things you mainly serve. The bagel sandwiches were pretty thin, like they use one egg and a bit of meat. My steak sandwich had steak on only a part of the sandwich. The bagel was okay and the only memorable part for me is how small it was. Even my wife who is not a big eater agrees that the sandwich was small and flat. I truly believe I had a much better steak and egg bagel breakfast sandwich from McDonald’s.
When I got my order, the boxes were half open and looked like they had been thrown haphazardly in the bag. We then waited over half an hour for the staff to finally make the second half of our order. It’s not even that they were short-staffed, just terrible customer service. And the home fries were burnt.

Staff was rude, and was given wilted lettuce in my salad with no dressing. I also ordered the chicken salad sandwich which was a board special today, and because I didn’t say board special I wasn’t given the red onion or the macaroni salad.
