Bella Mia - Harrisonburg

We hadn't been there in a few years....just occasionally travel through Harrisonburg. But...if passing thru....I recommend Bella Mia. Menu was broad, food very good, and service good. Atmosphere clean, midscale, nicely decorated in classic Italian style

I am thinking that my recent dining experience at Bella Mia is an anomaly. We had reservations, but it seemed to me that they were not ready for us. I also got the distinct impression that the hostess was overwhelmed and could not really cope with the volume of business. Yes they were very busy, but we did have reservations. After being seated, it was minutes before a server showed up at our table. I was on the verge of walking out. However all of that said, once a server did show up, everything was I have always experienced at Bella Mia. The service as attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was perfect

Harrisonburg is lacking in terms of fine dining; however, Bella Mia went above and beyond my expectations in food and ambiance. On Valentine’s Day my date and I were greeted with exceptional service and presentation. We loved coming here and will be back again soon

We were visiting JMU for admitted students weekend. Unfortunately, it was also Valentines Day. We were not aware that there was going to be a limited menu. When our waitress asked the owner, Sal, if the kitchen could do a pasta only dish the response was no, must be on the menu. The Valentine menu was a very limited menu with no pasta only dishes. We were all disappointed in the choices. The food was just average
