What Sigmund Murphy likes about The Alva Restaurant:
The owner is a really sweet old man. The staff is also very sweet. The food was good. I had coffee every morning and was always treated with respect. People were very friendly, the room was small, but they have things to help just live. Not bad either. I will stay back View all feedback. What Gust Schowalter doesn't like about The Alva Restaurant:
This is a horrible place! They charge people 600 dollars a month for a room with no air conditioning. The bar tenders are crack heads . And the service is horrible. View all feedback.

read moreThe Alva restaurant is a quirky and unpretentious old-school diner bar located conveniently across from the train station. While the decor may be outdated and the atmosphere may not be for everyone, those who appreciate character and history will enjoy this spot. Despite some negative reviews regarding cleanliness and bed bugs, there are also positive comments about the friendly staff and good food. The Alva has been around since the 1930s and has a rich heritage that some patrons appreciate. Overall, it seems like a mixed bag of experiences, with some visitors loving the unique charm of the place while others advise caution before booking a room.
All I can say is that, this place has a lot of character& characters! The Alva has been around since the 1930s, I believe, used to be a butcher shoppe/meat mark...
