This family owned restaurant is quite a statement. At the first glance no one would guess what treasure it is...All their food is cooked from scratch, right there, on the spot. What Mo doesn't like about Home 231:
My husband and I arrived for our reservation, but the hostess didn’t greet us. We were then seated at a wet table, and the menu didn't impress us much except for the smoked salmon toast. My chicken and waffles had eggshells in my poached egg, and the dish lacked flavor. When I mentioned the issue to the server, there was no apology. Nice little place. Service was good. Wagyu flat iron was cooked perfectly. Cherry Bomb cocktail was tasty.
We always have a good meal at 231. Love the cozy feel and intimate setting for a good date night. We buy tasty cocktails and typically check out the steaks. Everything is cooked and mixed to order! Will be back for sure.
Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious!
