My daughter and I visited this restaurant after taking a recent walk around City Island. The steamed clams, cod, potato salad, and crab cake were the best we've ever had. The service was excellent, and Cindy was fantastic with conversations. If I'm in town, I want to come here at least once a week. Two thumbs up! View all feedback.
What Ahmad Haley doesn't like about Cafe Huey:
Horrible service. I don 't know how they pass a food safety inspection. The place is a mess and they are understaffed. I watched one of the employees use her bare hands to push down the stuff inside the trash can and then continue making someone 's meal without washing her hands. So a sweet little place with great food great prices
I paid for my eating with my apple pay the dame argued with me that it did not go through to get my food, I told her I would use my card. when I checked my credit account, I paid twice for lunch. now they will not remove any of the changes. now they will not return my calls!
More amazing place to eat. I just wish more people were ready to work.
Very delicious food. I got a veggie burger while my husband had a half pound burger and we shared a small fry. The prices are a little high but you definitely get what you pay for as the portions are quite large. Despite there being a long line and only 3 employees that we could see, our food didn't take too long. The lady who took our order was very friendly. My only complaint is that the man working the counter yelled at the very young girl on register when she was trying to help someone
Good food. The young girl today had disposable gloves on handling money then touching people’s food, touching her face, cell phone, pushing stools in, and picking up trash. All while wearing those same gloves.To be quite honest, that’s disgusting! I still recommend this place but the owners need to teach and instruct safe and sanitary food handling practices.
