The restaurant offers exceptional service and top-notch food. The portion sizes are generous, so it's best to come with a companion or two. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the dishes are flavorful and delightful. View all feedback.
The food was an overpriced disappointment. I was excited to try because I've never had Venezuelan food and if this place is an accurate representation, I'll pass in the future. We ordered two empanadas (chicken and cheese) and one vegetarian arepa. I didn't know the empanadas were made with cornmeal rather than wheat flour (ignorance on my part) so I didn't like the flavor or texture. Also, the price of the empanadas was more than 50% higher than what's on their website. When I brought it to their attention, they were aware but didn't care.As for the arepa (see pic), it cost almost $10 and it was the size and thickness of a Smuckers uncrustable. It was sealed on the sides and not open like other pics I've seen of arepas. The filling was similar to a vegetable stew with an indescribable (not in a good way) flavor. It was also VERY salty, which I imagine was to try and cover the flavor. Unfortunately, I finished my Fanta and was never brought the water I requested so I didn't have anything to drink to wash down the saltiness.I am willing to give Venezuelan food one more try, but definitely won't be going to arepa house to do it.
Showed up right before closing. Genuinely great food. I'd never eaten Venezuelan food before and now I'm looking up flights.A must if you are a fan of good food and supporting a local restaurant.
We enjoyed the delicious, authentic arepas and empanadas at this restaurant. Although the food took a bit longer to arrive, we didn't mind waiting because it was clearly fresh and tasty!
This charming small restaurant has limited seating but is worth getting takeout if there are no seats available. The food was excellent, tasted authentic, and hit the spot. The empanada was delicious and the arepa was exactly as expected. Overall, great food!
First time trying Venezuelan food and it was love at first bite! Cute cafe and lovely service. Can’t wait to come back soon!
