Service was just ok. we had to flag down the server several times refills but she was very cordial. potato pancakes were gummy. really! this is a German restaur... read more Service was just ok. we had to flag down the server several times refills but she was very cordial. potato pancakes were gummy. really! this is a German restaurant, this is a standard in the cuisine. three of us had the schnitzel, all 3 were pounded so thin you could hardly find the meat and all three were burnt. my spouse is not very adventurous so she ordered the hot fried chicken without the bun or hot sauce, basically just fried chicken. she couldn't eat any of it as it tasted pickle brined which was not mentioned on the description. the soft pretzels were fresh and hot but the apple strudel was not warm and very difficult to cut. we wont be returning.

On our most recent... read more We've visited this restaurant twice, and both times we added our name to the waitlist, only to see others who arrived later seated before us. On our most recent visit, we were informed there would be a 35-minute wait at 5 PM, but when I checked at 6 PM, I was told we would be seated soon. I'm not sure why this has happened—it occurred once in the summer and now again today. I wish I could provide feedback on the food, but unfortunately, I can't even comment on the seating.

We had to wait almost 2 hours for ou... read more We have been here for a couple times and they has always been great but the last time we were here is an absolute disaster. We had to wait almost 2 hours for our food. The waitress didn't come out and check up on us once. We were seated outside so it wasextremely difficult to even get her attention. When the food came out, the chicken was dry like it was sitting under the heatinglamp for exactly 2 hours. The noodles were swimming in oil with no flavor at all. Such a huge disappointment. Would not comebackagain.

I happened upon this place when passing through the area and looking for something for dinner off of the interstate. It is not far from the interstate but not really downtown either. It is a unique dining experience in a verygood way. Plenty of outdoor dining space (heated) as well as good space indoors with history. The prime rib was some of the bestI've had anywhere. I was very pleased all around with the food, service, and atmosphere. I would highly recommend giving it atry!
