Kingston
Description
Dining experiences at this Jamaican restaurant showcase a spectrum of quality, with both standout dishes and notable disappointments. While some patrons rave about the flavors of jerk chicken, oxtail, and curry goat, others remark on stale or bland offerings and insufficient portions. Service appears to be a highlight, with staff receiving praise for their friendliness and promptness. Celebrating Father’s Day here proved delightful for one family, who appreciated the authentic atmosphere and impeccable service. Despite inconsistent food quality and presentation, the drinks, particularly the spicy margarita, attract positive feedback, suggesting a potential for improvement in the kitchen.

Came in and the staff was very chill and accommodating. Drinks were good I got the spicy Margarita which was very spicy. Our food came out and we were a group of 8. Some of the people in our party's fold was a bit cold but they took the plates back and rewarmed it right away. I ordered the Jerk Salmon, sweet plantain and veggies and mine was warm and delicious. I would definitely come back again.
It was a great experience for Father’s day. My family and I were welcomed and seated immediately. Camille, the hostess was so warm and pleasant she placed the food orders, kept refilling our waters, and checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was to die for quick, cooked to perfection and delicious. To top it off, the setup felt authentic to Jamaica and allowed us to be immersed in the culture of Harlem. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and I will definitely return! Love.
Kingston was definitely a surprise. I passed it a couple of times, but wasn't sure of it's authenticity. The food was great Jerk Pork Bites (spicy flavorful) were a great size app. We had the oxtails with rice n peas and cabbage. They were very good and the portions were nice sized. The rum punch packed a punch!!! Of course, someone else had an ice cold red stripe. The music was great very dance party vibe and the bartenders/waitresses were attentive. They probably need one more dedicated waiter on a Friday night, but everyone was having a ball. We had 2 ten year olds in our party and they enjoyed themselves.
Placed a large order to share with friends, and everything was absolutely delicious. The kids loved it, and the adults did too. The jerk salmon and goat shrimp curry were the highlights, but honestly, everything was packed with flavor.
I wanted to help a local business, so I decided to try the jerk chicken dinner. The chicken was flavorful with a nice spice level, but it reminded me more of baked chicken rather than anything exceptional. The rice and cabbage were quite bland and needed more seasoning. At $16, I expected something better. However, I did enjoy a rum punch ($12) at the bar while waiting for my food, which was quite tasty. I might think about coming back just for the drinks.
