Quite the view on a summery day and good protection from mosquitoes on the newer terrace with the higher glass walls. Friendly and helpful employees but I reckon it was a busy day for the kitchen at the time of visiting. Previous visits keep me to recommend this restaurant! View all feedback.
What Henry N doesn't like about De Paalkoepel:
Good food but service was iffy. It took a long time to be serve although people who came in after us were served before us. Drinks (tea and Irish coffee) came way after meal was served. The person making them was too busy, arranging forks and spoons behind the bar. Food was typical Dutch fare, we ordered the lunch tasting menu (no English menu). Ik was gisteravond de gelukkige winnaar van een verrassingsdiner voor twee personen. Ik heb genoten van heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel op een prachtige locatie. Eerder had ik ook al eens genoten van een heerlijke high tea. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden.
Het is een schitterende locatie aan het water. Het eten is uitstekend en de service is vriendelijk en attent. Een dikke aanrader.

Love the location. The service was exemplary. Enjoyed the food found the cost very reasonable for a restaurant that offers far more than just a good meal. Definitely a venue I recommend.
We tried 2 times to eat here but were sent away both times at the door. The restaurant was half empty but we were told sorry they are full. Was it because we came with a toddler... We will never know.
