We have visited Kilworth House before, but decided to give it another try recently. We were not disappointed - dining at Wordsworth was fantastic! We have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants, and I must say that this one would fit right in. The only suggestion I have is that they should consider adding more options to the menu as there were only 3 appetizers, 3 main courses, etc. It was a bit disappointing to s... View all feedback.

birthday party in wordsworth for a Sunday dinner. he began to wait with an excessive wait until someone put us into the room, followed by cold netzen, false desserts and over three hours for three courses. the bill was reduced to the bad service and food, but I would rather have paid the full amount and had a positive assessment to write. I will not return to lunch. View all feedback.
Situated in Kilworth House Hotel. food and drink isn't the cheapest but very good, nice restaurant as it only has approx 10 tables, and service is great.. definitely eat in here if stopping. Portions are not the biggest but very tasty !!! All good!!
We all ordered 3 courses, which started with a nice treat of a fish and chips aperitif which was small pieces of fish on a light potato crisp and deep fried ham hock different to the starter This was served on a bed of hot...stones. We tried the lobster, which was exquisite, the ham hock and duck liver parfait, For main course we went of the Rib of Beef (could have done with more as it was so good) and Partridge. Pistachio soufflé and a nice selection of cheese and biscuits. This is clearly one of the best restaurants in the area so don't be misled by the rating system within TripAdvisor as most people will know the Orangery restaurant is in the same hotel but this is the best and most expensive. A very good country hotel.
Went with a number of collegues for a lunch time meeting. The staff are very friendly. The meal was fine but there was nowhere near enough vegatables and we had nearly finished our meal before some more arrived. I am sure this will improve before...our next meeting.
My 3 friends and I had a wonderful Christmas meal last Thursday.. We were very impressed with the main course choices. 3 meat options, 2 fish and 2 vegetarian at £38 per head. (Much better than Rushton Hall which is £55 per head) All courses...were excellent and the price included tea or coffee and petit fours. the service was excellent and the restaurant itself is very impressive. We will definitely be going back. Well done Kilworth House and for accommodating us at short notice.
Excellent food and presentation . Friendly knowledgeable staff . Definitely top of my favourite restaurants for good food
