Horse Hounds - Harborough

Unfortunately, I can't check the food because after waiting for more than 30 minutes for someone to come and serve me, I decided to give up and go elsewhere. the restaurant was not busy at all to be a Wednesday night (at most 10 tables, with most. a person staying in the hotel. I was obviously not a priority, and it was more important that the staff behind the bar laugh and joking with the local, instead of serving customers! it's fair to say I won't come back!

Excellent experience at breakfast. a party member had to leave table to take business talks. the breakfast was kept warm and the offer was made to pack in takeaway container when helpful for the customer. we were greeted most and were very much. helpful and friendly served. all credits to the personal so well to deal with difficult situation.

We had a terrible lunch, the sweet one was no longer there. only really terrible service. do not have the mayonnaise or ketchup as they leave them for hours in the sun!

Excelent staff welcome service. the meals were a good average, but not excellent. good average for money.

Starters were nice, pate was fine you really cannot go wrong with pate) and the Turkish warp was a bit odd but tasted ok – but then it went down hill ! the sea bass was nice, but the steaks were not good at...all ! the sirloin was ok but verging on well done asked for medium) and tough to cut ! it was also charred black on the outside – what a way to ruin a steak by basically burning it ! The Rump steak was inedible ! tough, completely over cooked, so charred on the outside that you could barely get a knife through it Both steaks tasted of charcoal The salads had were simplistic with NO dressing ! who does that these days ? The ambience well ? you were not in a restaurant but basically a pub converted in to a restaurant area – but not a nice restaurant area ! Service was very slow We will not be back – we didn’t complain as we had other things to focus on that evening and my mother would not have been happy with a fuss – but if I had been there with my partner we would have !!!!!
