Me and my Partner went today for Groupon Afternoon Tea and it was fantastic. The place is lovely. The staff were friendly. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious, especially the coffee and walnut cake and the yummy scones! Definitely home made There is a lovely shop there too. What Janeepee doesn't like about Bunny Clarke:
Arrived Saturday for a light lunch, walked in, found a table that was not reserved (as most appeared to be), had to clean the seat of the chocolate cake crumbs that were all over it. Could not find any menu's on the table, looked at other tables for menus to no avail. The four staff all stood behind the counter talking about last nights night out and hangovers and who did what. We had reserved a table at this restaurant, but upon arrival, the staff were not aware of our reservation. Several issues arose during our visit, so we decided to leave without ordering any food or drinks. When we spoke to the owner about our concerns, she insisted that we must understand that they were busy and short-staffed. While we understand that we are paying customers, it is important for the owner to realize that we are not interested in excuses for poor service. Her attitude and tone were not impressive and did not leave a good impression on us or any potential customers.
I purchased an afternoon tea for today, 08/07/20, through Groupon at this restaurant. After traveling 18 miles with my daughter, we arrived only to be informed that they were not accepting Groupon vouchers, despite having notified Groupon about this issue multiple times. While I understand that this may have been a Groupon problem, I was disappointed that no complimentary drink was offered for the inconvenience.
I stopped by the restaurant when the pub was closed and bought coffees and soft drinks outside, all while practicing social distancing.
Needed somewhere to breakfast having visited another site on the complex. Mint and Ginger staff were very accommodating and helpful and I had a tasty breakfast. They are only starting out on catering well for food allergies but try very hard to please in the meantime. Very satisfactory. Thanks.
Food was good and the service was also good, nice place for afternoon tea or coffee. or relax with friends.
