We always love coming here, just great food like your grandma use to make. We live in Florida and drive two hours every now and then for some good old southern soul food. The absolute best!!!

Stopped in here because my sister wanted to try the food. She enjoyed it very much...I did not try anything. Very interesting place..

Wife and I ate a late lunch there on 9/3. Be advised that they have already cooked the items and they serve you from trays being kept warm in trays over hot water. You indicate what you want and they My wife first choice was not available. We ended up getting smothered pork chop and BBQ ribs with sides of corn bread, collard greens, cabbage, red rice, Mac n cheese and okra tomatoes. The meats were ok not overly tender nor tough. The sides were better. The ambiance is not attractive just bare tables in a room. We went for the food so that was not unexpected on our part. Servers were polite. We would not go out of our way to eat there again but would go if in the area. You receive a fair amount of food for your money.

We were super excited after seeing a YouTube video about the restaurant and especially the Famous Soul Roles! We decided to drive 50 miles to enjoy the food we saw him cooking on the video! UNFORTUNATELY, when we arrived and asked for an order of the Famous Soul Roles, the gentleman went in back and came back to tell us that they weren’t available! We were so disappointed we decided to go to Tubby’s in Thunderbolt GA where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. I have to recommend that you shouldn’t do what we did and drive 50 miles to enjoy something that is simply not available!

We had a very poor experience at this place because of many factors: The service wasn’t great they did not know what they have in their menu. The batter that they use to make the fried seafood was very salty The venue is filthy as well the bathroom. I do not recommend this place
