one of my favorites in tokio. Showa-era interieur, a large selection of coffee beans and customers from students to grade men to grandmothers. perfect place to escape from the hump of shinjuku, to read a time or to catch up with friends. they also use fabric filters for the hand-dried coffee, which is quite rare, but a very clean and aromatic cup produced! avoid them when they are sensitive to cigarette smoke! What User doesn't like about Tajimaya Coffee House:
It's a very cute and cozy place to go to. They have an upstairs and downstairs place to sit. Great little place to get a cup of coffee or tea. The downside is that it's not a smoke free place. View all feedback.
One of the most famous cuddly in shinjuku. Luxury coffee experience, while the feeling as the time stopped there. tajimaya has some other sites in tokio, but this is the flagship store. there has not changed since 1964. pictures are forbidden in the inner (except close-ups of eating and drinks please be respectful and ask them before making any pictures) so they must visit this place to discover the treasures hidden in the inner! take time, sip her coffee slowly and dive into this retro atmosphere. 1. floor is non-smoking, 2nd floor is smoking. great selection of amazing coffee from all over the world. they can even drink kopi luwak coffee (with a certificate of authenticity). I recommend the No-Backe cheese cake: rich, creamy and free of line. a seasonal sakura is also available from february to the beginning mai. tiramisu and coffee ice cream are also very delicious! it is a little expensive, but it doesn't matter to pay extra yen for high quality coffee in such a beautiful place. a whole English menu is available, so don't worry if you can't speak Japanese. had loved the coffee there? they can buy coffee grains to enjoy it at home. in a hurry, they can also take a coffee!

I really enjoyed my experience here. the inner is old school, rather dark, and smoking is allowed. the coffee is excellent, and I like the cups and sauces they use. they have sweetness to choose, and I recommend the dorayaki. I will be back without doubt.
Beautiful coffee shop, with great interior decor and ambiente. the coffee card is huge and the coffee is fantastic. the prices are something on the higher side to say the least (the popular house mix was 750 yen), but then again this is a pretty coffee shop in the heart of one of the busiest business districts of tokio, so it is to be expected.
