This restaurant offers the best dining experience in North America. The server, chef, and sous chef went out of their way to create delicious vegan appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a hidden gem in the Upper Valley that we will definitely be returning to. Unlike most non-vegan restaurants that may just tolerate your requests for changes, these individuals welcomed us with... View all feedback.
What pittfranks doesn't like about Pine Restaurant - Hanover Inn Dartmouth:
We made reservations and specified that we wanted vegan options, both to the hostess and the waiter. However, we were disappointed to find that there were only two items on the menu that could be modified by removing the cheese and sour cream. The congee we ordered was tasty and the atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful. However, the high prices and the sight of other dishes such as pork belly, steak, fish, and... View all feedback.
Really enjoyed the food, and service was top notch. Indoor and outdoor seating available, and really good attention to detail regarding nutrition restrictions. Is a bit expensive, but portions are generous and the food is delicious, definitely worth the trip!
We waited for our food almost an hour when the waiter informed us that a glitter had lost our order. The kitchen shipped 3 pieces deviled eggs and some potato chips for the 6 of us. So we ate a quarter of an egg-wow thank you. We ate a lot here and it's really good. It is not close to the campus to beat, but the kitchen just seems to be worse
Great location and ambience, food was quite good, but generally overpriced. Ideal for visiting Dartmouth or staying at the Hannover Inn. Server was fair/arm, tried really hard, but just didn't seem to get it. Did NOT tell one of our guests to get an option because it was terrible and always sent back. Still ordered and it was good, actually quite good (Udon Noodles). The service in general was slow, water and drinks rarely refilled, we had to constantly pour our own wine, bring out bread as reflections when we asked for more, sorry. How can a restaurant of bread be? Oh, good, hope for better service and experience at our next visit as they have a monopoly on finer food in the area.
They have drastically reduced their shares. We've been there for years, and we're one of those crazy people who like to document our meals, so we can compare the same dish presentation from year to year. The salmon was no longer 1 decent fillet; it is now 2 thin small pieces . Then they overcooked it because it's so thin. The scallops are now 3 small compared to the 4 large of our photos from 2016-2018. I can go on, but you have the meaning. The most creepy part is that they are their plates on much more generic smaller plates you think you are in the agriturismo) in the hope that you do not notice the portion reduction of the total lack of presentation. Please give the Diners some credit. Too bad you are trying to pull a fast on your customers at these price points.
Menu was good and preparation was on point. Enjoy our meal
