I decided to give it a shot, but the Chicken Parmesan was also overcooked, and the pasta was too soggy. The bread was decent, though.

Our food took about 15 minutes to arrive, but it was brought out by a different waitress than the one who took our order. Unfortunately, the food was about room temperature. After a few bites, we decided to take the rest home and heat it up, as we waited for another 10 minutes for our waitress to return. When she finally checked on us, I expressed my disappointment, telling her the food was cold. She said she would inform the owner. When the waitress returned, she conveyed the owner’s apologies but offered no solutions—no options to reheat the food, adjust the bill, or let us order something different. When we went to pay the bill, the owner approached us, surprised to hear about the cold food. I mentioned that I had been coming here for 20 years and noted that there wasn't the usual crowd waiting to get in. The owner suggested that if there was a problem, we should have brought it to her attention directly. I replied that I believed it should have been passed on to the waitress, assuming she would actually show up. I regret to say that I won't be returning to Houndstooth. It's disheartening that the owner seems indifferent to the quality of her food and does not take customer complaints seriously.

We stumbled upon this gem while traveling from Richmond to King George. The seafood was amazing, the atmosphere was charming, and the homemade desserts were simply divine! The owner personally bakes the cheesecake each week in unique flavors you won't find anywhere else—it's a true game-changer! This place is a must-visit for anyone passing through Hanover. It's located on US 301, and their hours vary throughout the week. Be sure to check it out!
