Maybe I was unlucky with my choice, but I didn´t find the food here special at all. Zero sophistication. The quality is the same as in any local vietnamese around the corner where you would pay 10% of the price. Had food posoning the next day too, but I am not sure if that is from here or elsewhere. I was expecting something special, delicious, sophisticated yet authentic at the same time. Not the case. Sofitel Metropol may be among the most reputable Hotels in Hanoi, but it is evidently not an authority on vietnamese cuisine. What a shame. I hope that changes! There is ample talent in the city and I think you need a completely new, more ambitious concept for this restaurant to present authentic vietnamese cuisine at its best with a modern twist.
