our chef was Fernando P Arellano and he prepared a phantastic menu for us. Food presentation excellent, taste outstanding, service very good and attentive despite us being a large group of 16 people. the various wines selected German Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spaetlese, South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon from Solomon Estate as well as the Champagne de Sousa Grand Cru Reserve all matched well with the menu. What Franz K doesn't like about Ikarus:
It is not the coziest place to have dinner in a aircraft hangar. But we new before and been fine with this. If you wanna be a high end restaurant you should not give the service into the hands of trainees. But it seemed they did. The service was very average. The food itself I liked a lot as I like japanese food and the chef was Hiroyasu Kawate this time. The wine accompaniment was more than average and conservative.... View all feedback.
We were here for a quick stop and had coffee. It was really good, I have a feeling that their food is also great!

The food itself I liked a lot as I like japanese food and the chef was Hiroyasu Kawate this time. The wine accompaniment was more than average and conservative. I found it uncomfortable that one have to go two stores down to see the toilet and last not least the piano player was for sure a very good pianist but I prefer to listen to music I choose and like and not 'elevater music ' the whole night long.
Das junge, motivierte und professionelle Team, das immer auch mit Humor gesegnet ist, läßt einen die genialen Menüs in Ruhe geniessen - kein Hetzen, keine Unruhe - einfach nur verwöhnen lassen - super - auch hier nochmals herzlichen DANK !!!Da wir zur Erinnerung an aussergewöhnliche Geschmackserlebnisse und auch die damit für uns verbundenen unvergesslichen Stunden diese immer im Photo festhalten und die passenden Menükarten sammeln nochmals ein herzliches Dankeschönfür das Zusenden derselben - Service mit Herz&Hirn&Hand - wunderbar!
Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und direkt an den Tisch gebracht. Die Weinkarte ist mächtig und wir wurden bei den zwei getrunkenen Flaschen sehr gut beraten. Es wäre auch möglich das Menü (€ Festspielmenü "Ikarus Team" 180 p.P) mit Weinbegleitung (€ 135.- p.P ) oder alkoholfreier Getränkebegleitung (€ 54.- p.P) zu genießen. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, die Mannschaft wirkte wunderbar eingespielt. Auf die Sonderwünsche meine Frau (Vegetarier) wurde eingegangen und Anpassungen wurden problemlos durchgeführt. Das Menü war sehr lecker, alle Gänge geschmacklich wie auch optisch ausgezeichnet. Wir haben zum Abschluss noch einen Absacker in der Mayday Bar genossen, in der es grandiose Cocktails gibt.
Es gibt wirklich nichts zu bemängeln. Empfang, Essen, Service, Lokal, Aussicht, Ambiente..... alles Top Top Top. War zum zweiten Mal da und werde wieder kommen!
