The restaurant was relatively dark, and I didn 't feel comfortable at all, partly because it was extremely cold. I was wearing a thick cardigan and still shivered. When ordering, one of us wanted the Indian beer listed on the menu and was told, We had that yesterday. Okay, so we ordered a Kristallweizen (wheat beer). The drinks arrived shortly after, but there was no Kristallweizen. When we pointed this out, he was told, Well, try this one. The food arrived quickly and tasted good, but the portions were too small for the price, and it wasn 't spicy (which we had specifically ordered). There were three of us, but we only received two small bowls of rice. When we asked about it, we were told, That 's for everyone. When we went to pay, we weren 't asked whether we wanted to pay together or separately, so we received one bill. When we asked to pay separately, we were simply told, One of us just pays for now; we can sort it out later. That 's definitely not what customer service should be like! The customer service was definitely not good! Despite the tasty small portions, a return visit here is out of the question for us.
The food there is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend eating there; it has a lovely atmosphere.
The staff was very nice and friendly, and the service was very good. They asked us regularly if we needed anything, without being intrusive. We were only surprised that the restaurant had no other customers at 8 p.m. It could be that the restaurant is really far from any major urban areas. Handewitt is a sprawling community. The food was delicious, and we were given new warm rice when needed. The portions were reasonably priced. One point of criticism was the room temperature, which felt below 18 degrees Celsius. For a cozy atmosphere, wearing a jacket while eating shouldn't be necessary. But that could easily be changed. Hence this comment. The decor was rather Greek, which they tried to cover up with Indian elements. Unfortunately, this didn't paint a good picture. You go there to eat, not to marvel at the culture, but the ambiance suffers as a result. In short: Delicious food Very fair prices Ambience and temperature could be improved.
We noticed this restaurant a while ago, but unfortunately only just managed to stop by. It looks very dark from the outside, but that's just from the outside. The owner and staff were very attentive and friendly. After ordering, we received a complimentary appetizer. Unfortunately, this included the sauces for the naan bread, which wasn't mentioned beforehand. They were all delicious! We had reserved a table in advance, but it should also be possible to just drop in. We ordered the mango chicken, the butter chicken, and the chicken biryani, along with naan bread. The food was kept warm at the table. We have very rarely eaten such good Indian food! The rice was replenished several times, as much as we needed. Unfortunately, we could only pay in cash, but that was due to a broken machine. We will definitely be back!
