I stayed a few years back and for less than $20 a night it was sufficient. The owner was nice and likes to talk with her guests. There are cats ducks chickens and gardens. Bring your house shoes because outside shoes are not allowed in the house. The group dinner was quaint. I liked the fresh greens salad from the garden. The well water is hard. What Ibrahim EL GHAZALI doesn't like about Gathering Inn At Hancock:
Stayed one night. Was at the end of a motorcycle trip, and expectations were low. Had to be somewhere the next day and for the price asked, a hot shower, a bed and a roof sounded better than dealing with camping gear on a dark rainy night. View all feedback.
I stayed here for one month, late November to late December 2014. I don't know if Kathleen is still taking boarders, but it was boarders and overnighters at the time.
This place is not an equal housing lender with no lease agreement other than verbal so preferential treatment is given to those with at any allowance of objection or negotiation. Furthermore the landlady is invasive, panicked and unrespective of peoples rights and their wellbeing. She pries and takea advantagr that due legal process is too expensive for many. Its a mix of those on the doll collecting welfare each month and an unlicensed old folks home. If you can gwt one the adjacent apartments it may be better, but thats not a long term optiom and those tenants are unlikely to give them up any time soon. Kathleen has a growing reputation and is renowned locally for her double standards and general psychopathic tendencies along with conversational redudundancy. Stay if may or need but make it fast and dont get comfortable, bed bugs and all the dust is swept under the rug.

I had a wonderful time speaking with Kathleen. Reading all the reviews convinced me this was the place for me. Had even planned to be a permanent boarder. But due to a back injury was not able to go there. I would still highly recommend Kathleen's place for anyone seeking a quiet and serene place to commune with nature. Read the reviews! They will convince you, this is home!
Kathleen is rather petty and very invasive of your privacy
