Kay's Cafe Bakery - Hampton

Amazing coffee and great cheesecake as always. Excellent staff very knowledgeable about the desserts.

We have come to this bakery quite often. Yesterday I stopped in to get a slice of carrot cake for my mother in the nursing home. The people behind the counter were rude and unpleasant. One was doing a huge doordash order and when she said to go to the other register that one also was like I can 't help her I am doing this . I ended up walking out, I understand orders take time, but to just dismiss a person that is actually standing at the counter is unacceptable. I will be looking for new bakeries to try from here on out. I will say I never had a bad dessert there, just bad service.

We stopped in for a coffee after a long day of work and an early dinner at the restaurant attached, and are so glad that we did! So glad, we stopped in again the next morning for breakfast.Walking in, you see a beautifully curated table of books, cards, stickers, puzzles, and a row of thoughtfully curated gifts and souvenirs (without being cheesy). You are greeted with the incredible arouma of fresh espresso and sweets. There are small benches with pillows and tables for your comfort, seating infront of a fireplace, it's the perfect place to start your day!The cafe is clean, well maintained and looks like it is truly cared for by owners and employees alike. The baristas are kind and attentive. We ordered our americanos and cappuccinos and sat down with some treats to share; Oreo cheesecake, decadent brownie and chocolate mousse. The coffees were strong and so tasty and the treats were all so rich and delicious without being painfully sweet! They are quite large portions, so we ate half and saved the rest for later.The next day we had bacon avo scramblers, and the breakfast burritos, and they were made to perfect tion with a wonderful combination of flavours.We had an exceptional experience at Kay's Kafe, and will make it our first stop if and when we ever get to take another trip back!

I picked up multiple pieces of cake in different flavors and chocolate covered strawberries for my moms birthday. They were a hit, and everyone loved them. So delicious!
