We were here a year or so ago and tried it again, this time just the two of us. Mid week, not real busy but we were early. We chose entrées to share, chicken samosa and tempura soft shell crab. Both delightful. For mains she had and enjoyed the red curry prawn dish & I loved the duck leg curry. Add papadams and naan bread plus a couple of nice wines from their reasonably good selection and we were happy.Recommended. G... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Charminar:
This was our second visit to Charminar. The first was a rather disappointing outing with a hot curry turning up with absolutely no heat to it at all. This time around was a little better although hot here means lame Australian palate hot, not regular hot so don't fear the Hot curry on the menu, it's rather mild.We had the Lamb madras and the butter chicken. The Lamb was rather chewy and over cooked but the sauce was... View all feedback.
I went back to charming clemgy because eating is exactly what they say. fresh, tasty and always very friendly staff to help. I recommend charminar definately if they love indians with taste.
The order was made by deliveroo at 4 o'clock to wait around 6 o'clock to 6.15 and cried and was said to wait 20 minutes and re called and was told that there was no order. called deliveroo and was said that it was sent. Deliveroo...reimbursed immediately. the debt was in the restorer without help, which could ever solve the problem. try not to eat it beyond india for professional service and quality.
Ordering food for taking, nans were not in the position to eat, have to throw away, manchoorian was dried balls, completely without serious. malai kofta was like a kg sugar in the heavy. they feel like they've put dollar in. the restaurant they did not care to hear everything. very bad and disappointed customer service. will never be ordered again.
We have eaten several meals here in the last few years and have always enjoyed it. in the last two locations, however, the service was missing. especially our youngest family dinner here was the most disappointing. after sitting, no service...for drinks was offered either until it was initiated. the creation of the staff in general made us feel that we were more of inconvenience than paying customers. after our meal we stayed with a table full empty for the rest of the evening. we were totally ignored, not offered dessert or coffee. this was, although finally a worker overwhelmed to let them know that we were finished with our meal. (It is worth noting that others with their empty tellers seemed to be left after the meal.) overall we felt ignored and did not like our family dinner as a result. it would be understandable if the personal was particularly busy, but they weren't busy much of the time, often to chat with each other. as mentioned, eating is a good standard, and the servings are generous. it's a shame that the service will leave it down because we won't be back.
Our family of eleven enjoyed lunch here on Father's Day last Sunday. Staff were attentive to our needs. We shared a variety of curries, rice and naan. All dishes were tasty and flavoursome. BYO corkage fee is $10 per bottle.
