have played this course several times. the facilities course is nice, the personel are friendly. played again 10/27/21. it was not a good experience, too much slow game in groups before. we were told by the message to the war basket that we were 22 minutes behind the schedule and if we had not accelerated the marshal, we would be dealing with us. if there was a marshal, he must have been on the break and the players... Who’s in charge here? Our group was finishing our putts on 18 when one of the drunken players behind drove his shot at us, then proceeded to confront and try and “fight” our group because of slow pace? Decent course but terrible customer service. Waited way too long after my scheduled tee time to actually start. They were unapologetic.
Castle Bay is one of the hidden treasures in Hampstead, NC. The course was in good condition. I know I'll be going back.
Castle Bay is always nice. The price is good and the staff are all nice.
Men are out openly urinating on the fairways and off the wooden bridges. My wife finally was able to video this guy openly urinating on the course behind our house at 12:51 pm today. There is more, but it can't be written here. The Sheriff's Office has been contacted.
Some of the worst customer service I have dealt with. I have tried to contact the pro shop on multiple occasions only to be transferred to an off shore representative that “has no other way to contact the shop” and to try calling again, which I had to several times, different days. Finally got in touch with someone at the shop and was on the phone for less than 1 minute (I checked) and was told “I have customers I can’t be dealing with this”. I was willing to be placed on hold instead of dealing with trying to get a local person again. I rarely leave poor reviews, but after several negative encounters, I feel like this is the only way to let them know that their current operations are awful. 0/5 if I could.
