I’d give the food 3/5, the atmosphere and restaurant itself is beautiful bringing this up to 4/5. There is indoor and outdoor seating and by the time my sister and I left they were playing live music. They have a nice big bar with lots of space I definitely would like to go back one night and hangout. My sister got a spicy margarita and it was really good!I enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich, it’s not the best ever but... View all feedback.
What MikeV doesn't like about The Heritage:
I don’t know how to rate the actual restaurant because we didn’t stay. I booked a standard indoor table and we were put in the brisk patio. The patio is a great option, but not what we reserved. They need to be more clear in the options in Open Table. View all feedback.
We came on Friday night where there 's live Jazz music starting at 7pm. First off, Northern Liberty is kind of an up and coming area with a lot of restaurants geared towards the young and hip crowd. This is a very nice restaurant although i can think of another one that is better (more on that later). Street parking, as Northern Liberty goes, is nightmare, so i would suggest you reserve a spot (there are a few commercial parking lots within 5-7 minute walking distance). This restaurant has a nice large dining area with reasonably high ceiling. Service is good and quick. Drinks are fairly priced and good tasting although they tend to go for the sweeter cocktails. So be very specific if you want your drinks on the dry side. They are very good at making sure your drinks are served quick and refilled. We had the fried chicken sandwich (tender, tasty), the gnocchi with shrimp (also very good, although the gnocchi style is non-traditional, but that 's fine by me). Roasted vegetables are finely done and tender. Their price/serving ratio is also very reasonable. Their bathroom is gender neutral, clean, but the booths are small and a little cramped. The jazz music is good but due to the large dining area (thus, a lot of diners), it 's a little noisy and it slightly drowns the live music. Hence my 4/5 rating. Very good, but not great. I 've had a better experience at another restaurant called 'South ', where the southern cuisine is slightly better, and there 's a dedicated (smaller) live Jazz performance area with more intimate setting, and the crowd who go there are more quiet so you can enjoy the music better. In other words, at South, the jazz music is part of the main attraction, while at Heritage the music is more of a background compliment (as such, it 's fair that you have to buy a ticket, at very reasonable price, to enjoy the live Jazz at South, while the music at Heritage is free). Hence i give South 5/5, a slight edge over Heritage. Don 't get me wrong though, Heritage is still quite good. You probably should try both and compare them yourselves.
Came with a large group for birthday dinner. We had a reservation but the table wasn't ready when we arrived. After ordering a drink at the bar we were seated. The restaurant is nice but really dark. We had a plethora of appetizers to share, the calamari was fantastic! For din I had a steak and half of my girlfriends chicken sandwich. The steak was great but the chicken sandwich was incredible! The servers were very kind and quick and brought my friend a birthday dessert! Loved the live music and atmosphere, will be back again. Thank you!
Heritage has booth indoor and outdoor seating. The food was great. It took a lil while for food but other than, service was good.
Delicious!!! Absolutely delicious! We had the shrimp and grits, and the eggs Benedict. Phenomenal brunch! The food was on point! The grits had a delectable sauce/gravy, and the shrimp were scrumptious. The eggs Benedict was different (using focaccia and prosciutto), but that's not a complaint. It was excellent! The drinks were great as well. My compliments to the chefs and cooks making it happen. Also, compliments to Maddie for such great service! Can't wait to come back.
Shrimp and grits was awesome. Abena is a great server.
