I've been ordering cakes from a bakery in New Orleans for a while, and when I saw the Death Valley cake they made, I had to try them out. What an incredible experience! I ordered two cakes: one shaped like Louisiana with a tiger eye and Fleur de Lis, and another lemon cake decorated with purple and yellow tiger stripes and a football. I also got a red velvet cake themed around LSU vs. Army. The cakes were not only beautifully crafted but also delicious and high quality. I usually have five to six cakes made each year, and Cocoa Bean has definitely become my new favorite bakery!

The only downside is that there was quite a bit of icing, likely due to the three-layer design of their cakes. So, if you're not a fan of a lot of icing, I wouldn't recommend it. Other than that, it's fantastic! I rated it 4 stars because of the excessive icing.

We had cocoa bean design two cakes for our wedding: a traditional wedding cake and a fun cake that incorporated both me and my husband. We met with Chef Anthony a few months before our wedding to do a cake tasting and discussstyle. We weren?t sure what we really wanted and he walked us through everything step by step and had so many incrediblesuggestions and ideas that really helped us find exactly what we wanted. The traditional wedding cake was beautiful andabsolutely delicious. We were SO so so incredibly impressed and floored by the fun cake though!! We gave Chef Anthony sixdifferent tv shows/books that my husband and I are big fans of and he helped us figure out how to get them all on one cakewithout it just looking like a bunch of stuff thrown together. All we had were ideas and he took them and created something sounique and exactly what we didn?t even know we wanted. I loved and adored it so much and it came out exactly like we wanted andlike we asked! It was easily one of my absolute favorite things about the wedding and we cannot recommend Chef Anthony enough!

I've been a loyal customer of Haydel Bakery for years, but I must say Chef Anthony's cakes exceeded my expectations and outshine them. The cake was perfectly made, and the icing was just the right amount of sweetness, allowing me to fully enjoy each bite. As for the buttercream, I've never tasted anything like it before! Normally, my son nibbles on his cake, mostly focusing on the icing, but this time he finished his entire slice. I will definitely be returning to Cocoa Bean Bakery for future celebrations.
