Fishmongers - Hammond
Fishmongers
Description
Tucked near Fort Stevens, this unpretentious seaside spot serves generous, freshly fried fish-and-chips—cod, salmon, tuna and calamari—at wallet-friendly prices. Portions are huge, fries are crisp, and the staff and owners are warm and chatty. Outdoor picnic seating and a gravel parking lot suit campers and casual groups, and the shop even sells souvenir tees. Expect simple, no-frills fare with limited dietary options; note there are no restrooms on-site and seating can be chilly in bad weather.

We camp nearby and stopped to see if we could get fish and chips and they were sold so we went the next day and it was worth the ride back to the city! Hot fresh fish and chips. We also had shrimp cocktail that was really good.
We absolutely loved this restaurant! It has a charming atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. While the coleslaw was a bit off and the cod was just average, the fries were excellent and we really enjoyed the tuna. We will definitely be returning! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

As for parking, there’s plenty available right out front, and even if they’re busy, you won’t have any trouble finding a spot. This cozy gem in Hammond truly delivers. Kid-friendliness: They really know how to treat the little ones and offer options that let you enjoy your meal while they enjoy theirs.
