Fat Sam's Philly Steaks - Hammond

I’ve never had any issues with the food here. Every time I dine here, everything tastes incredibly fresh. The Kater burger is amazing and packed with flavor in every bite! The wings are always cooked perfectly—not burnt or overly sauced. The Chicago-style hot dogs are made just right! I live nearby and the staff is always very friendly too!

Fat Sam's in Hammond has long been a cherished restaurant celebrated for its delicious cuisine. However, it is worth noting that prices have risen recently. Although the menu features a wide range of delectable options, dining at Fat Sam's may now cost a bit more than it once did. Nonetheless, the quality of the food and the welcoming service remain reliable, making it a worthwhile indulgence for anyone looking for a satisfying meal in Hammond.

We also ordered two hot dogs for $9, and after taking a bite, I found them absolutely dreadful—lazy, stale, and disgusting. They were so bad that I had to throw them away. The negative attitude of the staff made our experience even worse, and we didn’t want to return. We would rather go anywhere else; even McDonald's would be a better choice than this place.

I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but my family did. They enjoyed their meals, but I had a different experience. The service was quite disappointing. The staff member who assisted us didn’t smile and seemed overworked and irritable. I really dislike poor service. If they’re having a tough day, they shouldn’t take it out on the customers.

I called ahead to confirm they were open, and they assured me they were. Their website says they close at 10 PM. I arrived at 9:33 PM and noticed the sign still said "Open," with four employees visible inside. However, they refused to take my order at the drive-thru and wouldn't open the door. Why advertise that you’re open if you're going to turn customers away? It was quite rude to deny service like that. If you’re having issues with your hours, just update them and stop claiming you’re open when you’re not accepting orders.
