Thunderbike Roadhouse - Hamminkeln

This restaurant is always a treat. Having had nice food one can walk to the Harley shop and watch exclusive models. And off course lots of people to wath. Nice atmosphere, good foor, fast service. Recommende, worth driving of the highway for!

We went here on a recommendation and on arriving I thought we might just be onto something. The Roadhouse is adjacent to a Harley Davidson bike shop both with the same owner, the bike shop is known for its radical and cool custom projects and...I was thinking if they pay even just half as much attention to the food as they do the bikes we would be onto a really great thing ...... But we weren't! The Roadhouse is authentically decorated with old motor bikes, Motor bike memorabilia , posters and has flat screen TVs set up so you can see films of past Harley meetings etc no matter where you sit. But back to the food, the reason we were actually there for! The menu looks great with everything you expect to see, from ribs wings, American steaks and of course burgers !! But nothing tastes of anything.... if you closed your eyes you would really have a problem guessing what you were putting in your mouth we tried this, it's true!!! They have just never heard of seasonings a real shame as the waitress was effective and the food looked good !!

When in Hamminkeln I eat here once maybe twice a week, the lunch buffet is always fresh and depending on what you like to eat also very delicious. I came here to eat for dinner once, I had the house hamburger... it would be much...much better if they would prepare the meat in-house, it felt like it was bought from a supermarket, grilled a bit and put straight into the bun.

If you like custom build bikes then you would have to travel a long way to beat this restaurants location next to the Thunderbike custom bike shop. The American Tex Mex style food is O.K. but nothing special. The ribs i had were dry and...bland.The mixed starters was also uninspiring. Service was excellent and the food is inexpensive for what you get. I would return as I regularly visit the bike shop next door but I would probably time it when the serve the workers buffet.

Fun restaurant with a lot of harley davidson fans. The burgers are good. It does have an American vibe to it.
