The decor hasn’t changed in years and feels a bit outdated, which is fine if the food and service make up for it, but this time they didn’t. The service was friendly but a little slow, and the food didn’t impress me as it has in the past. Compared to my previous visits, there’s definitely been a change in how the food is prepared, and it didn’t have the same quality or flavor I remember. To make matters worse, there was a weird insect on our table, which was unsettling and not something I’ve ever encountered here before. It was disappointing, especially because my past visits have always been perfect. I’m hoping this was just an off night because Tavern 19 has been a favorite in the past. I’ll give them another chance, but this visit was far from ideal.

Highly recommend this place to folks in the area. Pro tip: order a Goodfella pizza well done for take out and get yourself some real balsamic from Italy. Total game changer.
