Staff was really friendly.I had tenderloin sandwich and fries breading did not have any seasoning and fry?s were not salted. The 1919 root beer was delicious a few adjustments this place could really be a 5 star
I use to eat here alot as a kid with my grandparents. As an adult I would bring my grandpa Don as it was his favorite place to eat! Many memories here! Lots of laughs and amazing food! The staff was always so welcoming and always too extra time to chatwith my grandpa! 10 out of 10 in ALL my experiences here!!!
Darrell 's Place pork tenderloin sandwich is a masterpiece. To my knowledge, this is the original best tenderloin in Iowa by the Pork Producers, and it is for a reason. Darrell 's is, hands down, my favorite restaurant.
Traveled from Texas to devour the best Fried Pork Loin sandwich in Iowa! Been dining at Darrell's Place for 30+ years, and the food is better than ever! Don't miss it if you're ever in Hamlin!!!
Took my mother out for lunch. I told her we can go to her favorite restaurant and she chose Darrell's place. I haven't eaten here in years and it was my daughter's first time. The lunch was delicious and home cooked. We ended with ice cream.... and mydaughter said this is better than DQ and Runza. Great place to get a bite to eat and very nice staff.

Do not ask for their email address and you'll have a great experience. The food was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. It's clear that this restaurant caters to both locals and travelers. I will definitely be returning. They politely declined taking any pictures of the restaurant, but don't worry, you'll still get some for free! Overall, a great experience. Stay blessed.
Great food and excellent service.
I had prime rib, potato salad, and a side salad. Everything was perfect. Mom is in the hospital so we had her little dog with us, but we were able to eat at a picnic table in a nearby well kept park. One of the staff helped us carry food over there. I didn't take any pictures, but the food really was very good. Homemade ? , real buns. Everyone was happy with the food. It's on a paved, but little bit rough needs resurfacing bike trail.

I used to come to this restaurant a lot as a child with my grandparents. Now as an adult, I would bring my Opa Don because it was his favorite place to eat! I have so many memories here filled with laughter and delicious food. The staff was always friendly and would take the extra time to chat with my grandpa. I would rate all of my experiences here a 10 out of 10!

Very tasty food, they?re known for their pork tenderloin sandwich which is delicious! They have 1919 rootbeer!! It?s the best rootbeer ever!
