Contribute FeedbackLocated in a pleasant neighborhood, Gennaro's offers great parking and attentive service. The diverse specials menu includes standout shrimp dishes with balanced seasoning. The clientele varies from seniors to young patrons. While the noise level may not be ideal for a quiet date night, it's perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. The veal marsala received mixed reviews, but other dishes were delicious. The appetizers, salads, and main courses, such as chicken parmigiana and veal Marsala, were all highly praised. Overall, the restaurant's quality food and service make it a popular choice for dining with friends and family.
We ordered pizza as an appetizer--that probably was the highlight. The entrees otherwise (veal parm, a fish special) were large portions and good food. There was a sharing charge..and our server was young and generally inattentive. From an atmosphere perspective, they have a nice casual dining room but have an extra large TV screen in it that flashes menu specials and desserts...which in our mind made the place more tacky.
This restaurant is perfect for a night out with friends, but it is too noisy for a romantic date night. The tables are very close together, and my husband and I were looking for a quiet conversation, but with a table of 6 right on top of us and their kids climbing on the bench next to us, knocking my purse down every 5 minutes, it was not a good choice for a date night. However, I would definitely go back with friends or with my family as the food was great. It's just not ideal for a quiet date night.
Gennaro's is consistently good, whether you go on a busy weekend, or a quiet early week night. Never disappointed.
We often dine at Gennaro's because of the excellent food quality. The service is consistently great, even during busy times. The chicken francese is unbeatable.
The restaurant is located in a nice, safe neighborhood with good parking. The maître d' is attentive and quick. Our server was clean, smart, and had a great attitude. They spoke clear English. There were specials of every variety, although we would have liked to see more seafood choices. However, we both ordered the shrimp special and it was outstanding. It was pleasantly light on salt, unlike many other restaurants. We didn't try the desserts, but I'm sure they are well-prepared. The crowd was a mix of seniors and attractive young ladies and couples. The restaurant is BYOB.
