This is a lovely old fashioned place, very Germanic. We ordered one of the herring dishes (of course and a salmon and cod affair. Both tasty but came with no veg at all and it didn’t seem to be an option. Still, the parsley was...fresh and yummy. Drank a small beer and a glass of wine and had to pay for a bottle of still water as they don’t serve tap water. The waitress seemed to lose interest in us, didn’t ask if we wanted dessert. We went up to the bar to pay to find that it was cash only as she said the card machine wasn’t working. Looking at other reviews it hasn’t been working for a while .... funny that!
During a Sunday at the afternoon. Lazy service and respect less. They don’t accept credit card apart from Germans, it makes us to waist money on cash machine. Really disturbing with really slow service. Not coming back again.
Completely recommendable. The Labslaus surprised us with a top flavour. The staff was really lovely. I would recommend it to other people visiting the city.
