Always a wonderful place ...this time for

At more private events, they sell drinks without informing the guests. Then the bill arrives unexpectedly.

As every year at Christmas, we went out for a delicious meal with the family, this time at Röperhof. A lovely restaurant, both inside and out. I had to stoop a little when entering, but anyone can get in, regardless of height : We were greeted immediately, our coats were taken, and we were then shown to our table. We had ordered the set menu. The timing, from taking our drink orders to the drinks and the subsequent courses, was perfect, and we felt very comfortable. The service was very friendly and attentive. You can tell right away if someone enjoys their job. The little treat on the plate when we sat down was a great touch. It was also delicious, so much so that a marzipan loaf was devoured right there and then. The food and drinks were very tasty. We had no trouble parking. It can get tight during larger events, but there is also parking available on the main street. Less than 5 minutes and you're there : Regarding the price: Yes, for a meal with drinks and tip, you should budget around €100 per person. The price performance ratio is excellent. We'd love to come back and thank you so much for our time with you.

My wife and I visited Röperhof again after a long time and had reserved a table for the evening. The service: It was okay overall, however, as soon as the menus were handed to us, we were asked...did we want water? This was repeated three times. We didn 't want water at first. The food: Well, Röperhof used to have much better cuisine, which could rival so-called Michelin-starred restaurants, but unfortunately, that 's no longer the case. It simply lacked the flair...and also the passion for modern plating and presentation. (Just old school. Drinks: An Aperol Spritz with three large ice cubes and an orange slice for €12.80 is, in my opinion, simply a rip-off, especially since the cost of ingredients doesn 't justify it. Conclusion: We won 't be gracing Röperhof with our presence again anytime soon; we 're feeling rather disappointed. As a private 3-star chef, I 'm used to a certain level of quality.
