However the food is... read more The refugium is a nice place. Run by students who enjoy their work. The restaurant is mostly frequented by climbers from the climbing hall. However the food is really really good and extremely cheap. A decent burger starts at 6€. The starters are really good as well. I had the steak burger on the self made bun. It was English the way I like it with self made sauces and fresh rocket and sweet tomatoes. All in all the best burger I had in a long while. Besides the food you can get huge long drinks for 5€ which are awesome too. They have self made cake and cookies so if you are around especially if you stay at the Wälderhaus take the 1 min walk over and enjoy some really good and cheap food as well as some cocktails
