The food was very good again and the staff was super friendly and we can only recommend the restaurant to everyone. Looking for a super cozy ambience and nice staff and a fresh cooked food, which is extremely excellent and hot. I would like to give thanks to the restaurant and its kitchen and we look forward to a next time. View all feedback.
What Terry Pacocha doesn't like about Opitz:
We have selected this restaurant as it is one of the best in Hamburg in its category although we have not experienced so large time to wait to be served almost hours after taking order without any kind of reasonable explanation. The best the...quality of food and place is very nice and cosy View all feedback.
Eating was okay, not great. we ordered beer that turned out to be mixed with lemon juice. the personal would have warned us. as a starter we took the hamburger bowllaborskaus. that were all-story dog food. I'm sure they used corked meat as a main ingredient. if not, I don't even want to know what it uses. the schinitzel was in order, I shouldsay schnitzels. you have two.
Location approx. a min to foot from hamburg hbf. there are road construction/repairs around the restaurant, which makes some nearby roads pedestrian unfriendly. allow extra time when they go there. atmosphere- I felt like I was eating in a German grandmother's house. cute old decorations. service very friendly and professional. the main server was very polite and helpful. she liked to bring us menus in English when she realized that our German was very limited. eating the soup was tasty sniffy hearty, with a delicious bratwurst in it. my friend had the labskaus, which tasted me well, but the combination of hering with choired bark hatch seemed just a little strange for my taste bud, which is not familiar with North German cuisine. I had the goose breast special that was great. overall a great experience
Excellent food (how carving very cozy and cozy. I guess we couldn't ask for our one night in hamburg anymore.
An authentic German restaurant with excellent food. starter usually sort the suppe. I was with a party and you have to book. most had carved carving with the fried carrots that were excellent. I had labkaus with a egg, fish and gherkins. hearty delicious food and good price. only sit over very welcoming and English spoken.
You will need to make a reservation and do it if you enjoy straight forward German food. It is not fancy or cutting edge, but simple and well prepared dishes, that serves their purpose.
