The atmosphere is great, it gets quite crowded with what seems a mix of locals & tourists. We came here both nights we were in Hamburg, it was so good we figured why look anywhere else? Service quick & friendly, food delicious, hot and VERY reasonably priced. My husband had the rice & veg dish both nights, & says he will have it again for sure next time we're in Hamburg! Loved sitting at shared tables, made it cosy & convivial!

Completely and violently oversalted. The chicken breast was at most 4mm thick... I haven't eaten something that bad in a long time. The fried mushrooms that you can order with it were almost certainly from a can and so sparsely available... 80% of the mushrooms were simply onions, which of course were completely over salted a complete disaster. Of course, the fried potatoes weren't crispy either and were drowned in cheap sunflower oil. In general, the entire plate was swimming in fat and it tasted that way... My friend's fried salmon was on top of the fries, so someone must have really thought about it. Real professionals at work, WOW! You really don't need to eat here. But the Ratsherrn on tap was delicious. At least something
