The restaurant offers amazing food and service, although some parts of the design are seen as lazy. The prices can be hefty, but the overall evening experience is fantastic. Dishes are described as refined and every plate is like a small artwork. The service team is attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience pleasurable. Despite some minor complaints about seating and timing of dishes, the food is excellent and worth a visit. Overall, the restaurant provides a great mix of chic and rustic ambiance with courses that bring taste surprises, making it a highly recommended dining option.

Was Anonym at Jellyfish a mag?
06/06/25: Last night I was at Jellyfish again, and it was time for a flavor journey. 5 courses (countless greetings from the kitchen beforehand) and the sixth course, the cheese clock! In this place, even cheese becomes a work of art: a magical taste experience and a visual spectacle! You are amazing!!!! Thank you for a particularly wonderful evening 03/15/25: We were at the Mittags Bistro today and enjoyed a 3-course menu. The service was loving and attentive, every request was fulfilled promptly and with a smile. The food is beyond words. It was a true delight. We'll be back.
What Wendelin Hönnemann dislikes about Jellyfish:
Amazing food and service and that's why we would recommend it. Very minimal interior, some parts of the design a bit lazy. Slightly too cold in the room. Overall a fantastic evening but also a hefty price tag 430 EUR for five courses (that were admittedly actually 8) and we did not drink any alcohol or pairings, except the apperitiv cocktail. We stayed there for the Schlemmer Summer and went home disappointed. The worst was the non-existent service. The appetizer was delicious, the other two courses were dry and boring. Too bad it was supposed to be fun for an evening with 8 courses, but unfortunately it didn't.
We were in Jellyfish for the second time. The first time a year ago. At that time there were still Corona editions, in any case there were fewer tables in the already small place. And last time we had a better table. This time, we sat right in the “incoming snow” kitchen and toilet... suboptimal for a romantic dinner. One or two times the food was faster than the wine tasting and we had to wait a minute, that should not happen. But the food itself was as usual and expected excellent. We'll be happy to come back when we're in Hamburg.

As usual for restaurants of this caliber, the menu was excellently presented. The highlight was the coral reef and, in terms of flavor, the optional liver, even if it doesn 't fit the fish theme, was delicious. The wines accompanied the dishes well, even if we weren 't particularly fond of the petrol aroma in one of the courses. The sommelier, Linh, was very personable and humorous! A separate 5/5 for that. But: it was a bit unusual that the sommelier also brought us our dishes in turn, as the service seemed a bit overwhelmed for a full house with probably only 2 3 employees... which then leads to: Unfortunately, it wasn 't quite enough for a 5/5 our optional courses probably disrupted the rhythm a bit, and in two cases we had to wait 10 15 minutes between courses but the wine was already there. Next comes the second point deduction: the restaurant has no air conditioning at all, so we sat there sweating in the very high temperatures, and our wines were already at room temperature by the time the dishes arrived after a wait. Admittedly, it was a truly exceptionally hot day in Hamburg, but still... Third deduction: the service was good, but we arrived on time for our reservation – we were shown to our table and then left alone for 10 15 minutes. Fourth comment, but that 's a matter of taste: cilantro was quite present in 2 3 dishes – I don 't mind cilantro, but I 've tasted more subtle embedding of cilantro in other restaurants of this class.
