I used to s... read more Every 4th item is more expensive in the cashier than on the shelf, very unfriendly security guy and only old vegetables/fruits not eatable next day. I used to shop almost every day here since I work directly at the corner. The vegetables were getting not eatable next day, but I was eating anyway on the sameday. But a while ago, a guy without any security sign, who was leaving the store like me, just saw 3x 70 cents of oats in my small bag, stopped me and blamed that I 'm stealing things from the store, ofc without asking if I paid. After a short discussion with that customer-like-looking security guy, I just accepted that he just wanted to feel powerful and collaborated with him. We went to the cashier (I never get a receipt), who confirmed that I paid for oats and a few more things, which I had already packed into my bag in front of him. Ok. So far that is still to some degree acceptable. However, the security guy grabbed my bag and started pulling me toward the inside and saying, Now you are coming with me to the back, I 'm gonna check you and your bag , maybe under the influence of the kind of movies he consumes. I got loud and shouted at him that I proved I paid, he can not touch me, and he should call the police if he has problems. Since the other customers backed me up, he said then, sorry. Believe me, YOU ARE MORE VALUABLE than getting this kind of TREATMENT AND OLD VEGETABLES IN THIS STORE

Noticed it at home and went to the store to complain, and they didn’t do anything and couldn’t even give a proper answer why they are selling stuff that’s over THREE weeks old.

I've never bought such old, dry Berliner doughnuts in an Edeka in-store bakery as I did here.
