Went there with two families. The food was decent with variety of cuisines in the menu. However the service could have been better. But overall a nice experience View all feedback.

My friend and host Uschi and I decided to go for brunch at the Forum Sasel today, not realising that it was Mothers‘ Day in Germany. It seems many mothers were treated to a brunch there today as the restaurant was fully booked and we could only get seats on a bar bench which might not have been the most comfortable seating, but it was close to the action, in the shape of the buffet! Everything one could have wished for was there: tasty rolls, smoked salmon, cheeses, cold meats, eggs with mayo deco, sliced beef, honey, jams, and I cannot recall what else on that side of the buffet. There was a warm food section which I did not try as I stuffed myself with those delicious rolls. I saw there was bacon and egg, sausages, and a vegetable mix with enormous king prawns. We thought we‘d have those later, but then they had all been picked out by other diners. The waitresses, who were very friendly and helpful, obliged and replenished that section with another big helping of those giant prawns. We were happy! There was also a dessert section with a variety of trifles, and a huge white cake like concoction they called panna cotta, but it was soft almost like marshmallow, and tasty. The food was 17 Euro, and the so called ‘flat’ drinks for 3 Euro included as many pots of coffee as one wanted, or a selection of teas by the cup. The welcoming drink was either a glass of o saft (orange juice to you and me) or a glass of Prosecco. We spent about two hours there and felt pleasantly full on leaving. If I did not live in England would gladly pop in for brunch at the Forum Sasel again soon.

Another visit to the Forum Sasel, and another great experience. We were welcomed to the warm and elegant surroundings with another warm smile with a genuine desire by the staff to give us a great experience. This time it was cheese burger, currywurst and Turkey kebab. All three of us confirmed an excellent taste to go with the compliment on the size of the portion. All three of us were stuffed. I recommend the spicy Country Potatoes too. And finished off with a small, delicious and complimentary schnapps. Very pleased with the bill. Great value. All round, the Forum Sasel never fails to deliver. Highly recommended!!
We frequently visit this restaurant as family, with our kids 2.5 years old. The place has a very satisfying menu. On summertime, there is a possibility to seat outside at the garden not too big. They offer also a Brunch on Sundays. You should make a reservation before you go especially at weekends. The restaurant is just next to the Sasel Weekly Market established at Saturdays.
