Lunch menu is quite limited, but they can easily find something to eat. a lunch in the open, although the weather was typical of hamburg. very good and efficient service. salat choices were good with a decent size share.
We had a business dinner with 7 persons. We took the mixed tapas for all of us as started and all of them were very nice (only one a little less special in taste according to me was the currywurst, but as this is a...specialty of Germany, I understand if this is highly apreciated by others . Then most of us took meat as main course, while I took the season dish asparagus with ham, very nice only the asparagus for my tase could be a bit more cooked. For the rest very very nice! they give you the choice of butter or hollandaise sauce. Wine (Pinot Grigio from SüdTirol (IT was very nice as well. Meat was well cooked if I should believe my colleagues and also the ravioli with spinace and ricotta was well received. Good service, also able to speak English! Very nice atmosphere in an old farmers house with straw roof! I will return!!
This place used to be amazing, but it is getting harder to find real village inns in Germany. Not really wirth a stop, and a bit over-priced.
I had a birthday party here for dinner. had the four cursor meal. sushi first curs was excellent. the prawn suppe was too sweaty. the bark cheeks and steak were good. the pink steak was good, but most of the bark found steak too fat/heavy. The...desert was very good - was more a summer feeling, then an autumn feeling. the interior is more rustic with beams and wood, but with spotlight. service was excellent, attentive. wein was ok. red better than white: rioja against the German sauvignon blanc.
