In the Dithmarscher Straße, not far from the S-Bahn Friedrichsberg, located halfway to Strasbourg Square, there is the Coban Confectionery. This caffe is really great! first-class torts and cakes, delicious bread selection and nice staff. the device is not so tasteful, but it is about eating:) funny is the mixture of guests. from old to young, everything!
The early-stueck offer (2 half broetchen after the election in the sight of the publisher, 1 cup coffee) now cost € 3.20. Although I have criticized the bad quality of the broetchen about 1 year ago, nothing has changed or even improved. the broths are as dry as I didn't get them anywhere. you don't taste fat, no salt or a spicy. crispy here is unknown as regards broths and seems to be a foreign word. In the middle of the room, 20 or more dirty and rusted pie sheets are now standing on a transport trolley. the toilets in the cellar are dirty. paper lies everywhere on the floor, which also stands on stairs and continues in cafe. the toilet seat is loose. the cafe is almost empty. they are hardly present. the cake tastes good. the tasters are just as different as the judgement of the gaeste or customers. As cafe I can not recommend this cut!
The new owner has taken over the former cafe with bakery and conditories. it was called straight. Now the cafe looks different and furnishings and style have changed massively.Before under old name it was plumpy, expensive and yet somehow cozy. that's past. next to the flat-screen TV, it offers nothing to invite me and many other guests to stay.Also the service is not really good and adequately informed. I'm going to the business at 11:00 a.m. and wondering if you could get an breakfast at this time. the coworker says yes and offers me an breakfast from the map.I ask her: "and the breakfast costs €2.99?" no she says it costs more. I now refer to the offer that sticks on a large sheet at the loading plate. the customer can choose the cover for the 2 half rolls themselves. Unfortunately, nowhere can be seen which coatings are offered. So you have to ask. After the order, I will sit down. the breakfast is coming a little later. the cup coffee has a promotional print. the milk is served in a large antiquated and cheap looking coffee banquet. there is no good looking coffee table! also this has changed.The little one tastes crispy. it tastes neither after a little salt nor tastes it after a little fat.Also all this is my firmness and my taste. it may be that other guests or customers like it. I don't like it.So the impression remains that the cafe looks more like a quick snack.The service is weak. so positiw remains to be noted the cheap price for the breakfast offer, if one also refers to the offer.Enjoyingly, the number of guests has decimated greatly compared to the old cafe.
The cafe has received a new dark grey paint in the storeroom, which is also located on the wall of the cellar staircase. After I ordered a coffee, I'll go to the basement to the toilet. This is now closed. I'm going back up for sales and knowing that this is the new concept. You want to control who gets dirty or damaged. That's how I get a key now. Unfortunately, the light does not burn in the front room and I stoke around in the dark to find the door lock.. Now I'm in the toilet, unfortunately the toilet paper is all. Thank God, I still have treads with me. Soap is all too. I'll bring the key back and inform the employee. She takes note of everything and does not take care of remedy. Unfortunately, for time reasons, it cannot control any visitor who has visited the toilet whether he has left the toilet properly. So what is this new rule? For that, 10 minutes later, a lady comes to the cafe and asks for the toilet. The way is explained to her and she receives the key. She's not a client! She doesn't pay any money and can use the toilet. So what is this new rule that cannot lead to any improvement! So the old problems will remain!
This is an update from December 2019 and a compilation of experiences from several visits of the last days. 1. In front of the entrance there is various waste. The next standing recycle bin is overfilled and has not been emptied for a long time. As you can imagine, there is hardly a guest sitting out in cold and rain. In the afternoon I was able to think of Christmas under red dam light. Unfortunately there was hardly any decoration. The predominant part of the existing ceiling radiators was not switched on, which is almost always the case. Who wants to read is here in winter at the wrong address. The outside temperatures are now approx. 4 6° C. The radiators are almost exhibited at the thermostat position 2 3 ! The radiators are thus cold and the guest freezes. You can also save electricity and heating costs! 2. 2 days ago missing towels. There's only one piece of paper here. I will inform the long-term employee in the afternoon. Your answer corresponds to the attitude to the service for guests: I take care of it in the evening! At that time, less than 5 customers were in the cafe. A similar result occurred a short time ago, when no toilet paper was present at the same time. 3. About 1 week ago the entire completely destroyed lid of the toilet was on the floor. Photo follows. I also informed the seller about this. What remains as a conclusion: indifference and disinterest of bosses and employees to customers and business. Control does not take place here. The fact that you cannot see the amount when paying for the cash register is a well-known deficiency for years. What remains is the knowledge: everything is a matter of view. What is important for one is unimportant for the other! Or is it the other culture or mentality?
