Was Bella Akankwasa at Cafe Prusse a mag?
Right on the Alster, you sit over a wooden deck and enjoy the activities on the water. They serve coffees, beer and light food including grilled food and salads. The food is simple, refreshing. The menu is in German and so it's tough to scan through if you don't read German. But you do get by. What Wilhelmine Wagner dislikes about Cafe Prusse:
avoid them! amateur chef at “work” maybe the worst food my wife and I ever had in Germany and I thought we had bad cooking in the usa. Well, that's a bit beaten. I spare them the reading details, but what we ordered from the kitchen we sent back. odd “Menu” of suppen, storages and fishing dingen intended to kill the taste buds stone dead. the head cook from its deep also with boiled carrots. they tasted like a tee cl... After a long stroll along the lake dropped in for a beer / wine. Not that great but super spot to watch the boats and beer is beer.Tried to order some snacks difficult ordered chilly con carne with chibatte. Chilly not bad if you are hungry but chibatte difficult to find. The size of a penny stamp.Coup de gras they dicriminate against non German credit cards. So take lots of cash.
Captn Prüsse is right by Hamburgs Alster. Our kids went to sailing school here for a couple of hours a day with an instructor called Ann Caren who they loved. The school also offers sailing camps which sell out fast in the summer holiday period. The cafe attached to the sailing school offers very good food. The salad with home made dressing a favorite. Very reasonable prices too and a beautiful view of the alster while you eat.

I and my friend we hire two different things; in me I found a hair between the tomats of a bruschetta and he a mini spinne in a french flame cake! than the cola from a large bottle in the glasses without ice and... nothing else. for only 25€
Very nice place to eat a coffee, wine or even something. I didn't eat, but the dishes looked very good and delicious. the waiter was super friendly and helpful and the view is only speechless.
