Pleasant cafe in a large old farmhouse which is a good option for a coffee cake when you're out looking at the blossom in the Altenland.

General We have finished the convertible season with magnificent sunshine with a tour to the Old Land.We have often passed past the historic Old Country farmhouse, which is already a real eye-catcher from the street front. Today we wanted to take a break in coffee and cake. Service We reached the cafe around 15.30. The good weather led to the outskirts all occupied. Also in the cafe were the places close. We put ourselves in a place that was just released. It was until the table was cleared and cleaned. This was due to the beautiful weather, the visitor and the shortage of staff. The service was very friendly. She picked up the order. Then the waiting period started. After about 30 minutes the coffee came. Unfortunately the cake was missing. Until this came the coffee was almost cold. Positively, we valued the offer that the service offered us a cup of coffee or water at the expense of the house for the long waiting period. As a result of illness, staff were missing this day. For an excursion destination, the personnel use was not professionally organized. The staff was more like a shiny chicken pile. Uncleaned tables, long waiting times when ordering, serving, paying and billing the purchases in the court shop as well as many unsatisfied and mauling guests. That's better! Food In the map there are drinks on five sides, on one side the ice desserts and on one side cakes and toirtes (8 cakes and 6 cakes). All cakes are homemade with fresh ingredients and fruits depending on the season from the Old Land. We ordered a piece of black forests cake and a piece of windmill cake. The Black Forest Torte is well known to everyone. The wind mill variety consists of leaf dough, plum and cream. The windmill cakes tasted delicious, the foliage pastry and a lot of cream. Together with the tweezers a pleasure. The Black Forest cherries were also very good with a shot of cherry water. For dessert there was another spring white. A very young, sweet, sweet spring white. Delicious. Unfortunately the onion cake was missing. Ambiente The historic Old Country Building with the large white gate invites you to return. The Altländer Tor in front of the court was built in 1683. It is decorated with lion heads and grapes. The lions are supposed to protect the inhabitants and the harvest. The grapes stand for fertility.1720 the farm was acquired by the Famile Quast. The court burned down in 1777 and was rebuilt in the following period. The name of the cafe is derived from the old-country gate in front of the farm (Ollander Puurt) and the name of the owners family Quast. Since there are many families of the same name in Neuenfelde, they receive a name addition for better distinction, in this case Puurten Quast The old Reetdach building is in a very well maintained state. A large, well maintained garden area with old oaks is located behind the cafe. In the interior of the cafe there are various rooms of different sizes. Everything is a little furnished as in Grandma ́s good Stube . In a room, a bank in U-shape was installed continuously over three walls. The tables and chairs are from the 60s. DThe floor in this room is made of small wooden parquet. The family tree of the Quast family hangs on a wall. On the tables were vases with fresh flowers (Fette Henne) a stand with napkins, a tea light and a sugar can. Cleanliness Cleanliness was fine. This also applies to the toilets. There were small guest towels instead of paper towels. A separate disabled toilet is available. Price/performance appropriate
