Pleasant engaging staff that made me feel at home. Excellent remodel of a Hospital enterence that leads to a garden for the residents of the ushaped buildings. There are better places to go for dinner but for breakfast, lunch and drinks it is the place. On my last night in Hamburg I met up with my wife and another couple that had just flown in from California. When we walked in they greeted me like I was Norm on the TV show Cheers.
During our last stay in Hamburg we visited this restaurant several times for breakfast or lunch, because we just liked everything about it. Located in an historic building (near busy Grindelallee, but hidden behind trees), Hadley 's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose between three levels, downstairs, mezzanine flour (with couches), and solarium. Or you can sit outdoors, looking into gardens. Sourced from local ingredients, everything we had was well-prepared and tasty. As a passionate bread baker, I recommend Hadley 's Breakfast , with all-you-can-eat bread from one of Hamburg 's best bakeries, Jochen Gaues. If you plan to come with friends, you should make reservations, this place is popular!
We went to Hadley's on a Sunday at 2pm, just missing the big brunch crowd (at the moment they have a nice spot of jazz kicking in around 3pm from the in house DJ). Lovely venue, on two levels. Our table was fantastic plush seats near a big window overlooking the garden. Great breakfast plate with various meats and cheeses (my husband had the vegetarian option with cheese and fruit), and as much bread, jam and honey as you please. Staff were very friendly, and the coffee is from Elbgold too. Tasty stuff!
At a recent visit to hamburg I visited hadley’s caffe for breakfast and dinner. first, the atmosphere is extremely welcoming - beautiful comfortable sessel in beautiful colors, contemporary and cozy at the same time. the service was excellent, very friendly staff and I was quickly served. eating at dinner was simple, tasty and inexpensive. I took the house wine (red,) which I found quite good. the breakfast was also excellent / large selection, beautiful brot, abundant and great coffee! I couldn't stand out at this place, I liked it very well and I can really recommend it for a good, hearty breakfast or a simple evening meal. the only point of criticism could be that there was nothing typical “Hamburgian” on the evening card, which I would like to try as a visitor to the city. if you want to go, especially to the breakfast, a table reservation is a must, as it becomes very full!
I was here with my family for breakfast. that is actually quite delicious, but the service was really bad. no knife for cutting the brotes or for lifting the butter. we ordered extra touch, which was completely forgotten. that made us back up that we paid less, but everything in all was not 'I expect from a good service.
