Firstly, the atmosphere is extremely welcoming lovely comfy armchairs in gorgeous colours, contemporary and cosy at the same time. Service was excellent, very friendly staff and I was served quickly. Food at dinner was simple, tasty, reasonably priced. I took the house wine (red) which I found to be quite good. Breakfast was also excellent great choice, lovely bread, abundant portions and great coffee! I couldn 't really fault this place, really liked it and really recommend it for a good, hearty breakfast or simple dinner. My only criticism could be that there was nothing typically Hamburg on the dinner menu, which I would have liked to have tried as a visitor to the city. If you do want to go, especially for breakfast, booking a table is a must as they get really busy!

Located in an histor... read more During our last stay in Hamburg we visited this restaurant several times for breakfast or lunch, because we just liked everything about it. Located in an historic building (near busy Grindelallee, but hidden behind trees), Hadley 's serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose between three levels, downstairs, mezzanine flour (with couches), and solarium. Or you can sit outdoors, looking into gardens. Sourced from local ingredients, everything we had was well-prepared and tasty. As a passionate bread baker, I recommend Hadley 's Breakfast , with all-you-can-eat bread from one of Hamburg 's best bakeries, Jochen Gaues. If you plan to come with friends, you should make reservations, this place is popular!
