we are here often to drink one or two glasses of wine, or to eat small things. also the breakfast is recommended. the service is nice and competent. In summer you can sit nicely under the trees in the garden, in winter you can find a small, covered terrace with heaters. Inside it is cozy and practical. the flame cake is crispy and tastes great and also the soups are good. we just like to come, of course also because i... View all feedback.
As new Hamburgers, we had no idea what would be open on January while strolling around this area popped into this lovely little cafe for some flat..
Great place cozy in winter and chilly in summer. We scientists from the neighborhood are often here with international guests. Very nice flammkuchen,..
Great breakfast place! Delicious and well balanced choices from free range eggs and cheese plates, to bagels and their fresh baked sourdough bread. Great..
Delicious choice of light lunches and beverages. Plenty of light makes one feel on holiday even if the weather is bad. Friendly and efficient service. High quality, good range of choices and a fair price
This is not a cafe you would be likely to stumble across while visiting Hamburg, since it is out in the western suburbs near the Othmarschen Sbahn, but if you are in the neighborhood it is a great option especially for brunch or a...drink and a light meal. The restaurant is bright yet cozy inside, and the garden is a great option on a nice day. One of the main menu options is flammkuchen, which is a very think flatbread crust topped traditionally with creme fraîche, lardons and onion. It is really tasty and the restaurant has many options including smoked salmon or even beef carpaccio with arugula and parmesan. The openface sourdough sandwiches, the soups, and salads are also good. I don't think you can really go wrong on the menu. This is a casual place with a nice atmosphere and a decent wine selection. It seems to have a lot of neighborhood regulars which speaks well of what it offers. Breakfast and brunch here is also good with lots of options and a nice little chocolate served with your hot drink. Sadly, the coffee is the one downside of the menu. It is as bad as what you normally get in a German bakery bitter and from a machine that hasn't been cleaned in a while
