Since Werner Otto wanted to take a... read more This ice cream café has become my third favorite in Hamburg. Until two years ago the address was still Wandsbeker Straße 42. Since Werner Otto wanted to take a path to the entrepreneur, this path was chosen as the headquarters of the Unterbnhemnen at the junction to the Bramfelder Chaussee. (Eis Jacob Langenhorn, Eis Höft Bramfeld and Arktis Bramfeld) The ice tasted very well at that time, had a creamy consistency and the eggs were large. Three balls with cream were already a main dish. Unfortunately, the quality has become worse and it no longer tastes as beautiful as years ago. The saw part was omitted and the ice was hard and tasted only watery. Since this season the business has a new owner and what should I say?, the quality of the ice has improved by 100. It now tastes creamy again, has a large cream content and the staff is young, beautiful and absolutely friendly. Your ice cream can be taken and eaten from the house or you can order a large ice cup from variety and "snabulize" it in the newly designed garden next to the ice cream café. This ice cream café seems to be a gold mine, because many employees of OTTO and Coca Cola go there in warm weather in the lunch break to approve their part. Then the waiting times are a little longer. As already mentioned, the Eiscafé Arctic has a new owner who has nothing in common with the old owner. The ice is again as creamy as it should be. Unfortunately, this place does not appear in the Golocal app, so if you are looking for it, you cannot find it.
