We were a family of 6, and this meal was a Father's Day gift. When we arrived, we were seated at our table and handed menus. Since it was Sunday, we all opted for the roast meats, though the menu had a variety of other dishes as well. We can confidently say that this was the best dining experience we've had in a long time. What Emily H doesn't like about The Fox And Hounds:
We came across this pub on a Tuesday night. We had two portions of fish and chips and one curry, with four pints and an appetiser, it came to £53.65. Food was tasty, but it seemed quite expensive for just a meal each. Staff were very friendly. We were sat by a log fire, very warming. View all feedback.
We stumbled across this pub on a Tuesday night. We had two portions of fish and chips, and one with four pints, curry, and an appetizer, which came to £53.65. The food was delicious, but it seemed quite expensive for just one meal each. The staff was very friendly. We sat by a wood-burning fire, very cozy.

The food was perfectly cooked, and the owners and servers were kind and attentive. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you all so much, and we will definitely recommend this restaurant to others and come back again.
We visited this restaurant on October 21st with a group of three. The food was amazing, cooked at home and full of flavor. The vegetables were cooked just right, not overdone. The waitress was fantastic and very attentive. My husband loved being called "sir" by the staff. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you plan on visiting the Thorp Perrow Arboretum in Bedale.

The restaurant was very nice and table set out well. Service was good.Staff were Pleasant and jolly. They have about 10 Mitchin badges for food over the years. One thing I liked they served water without you having to ask .Whilst the over all experience was great I was disappointed with one thing.I ordered Lamb shank{ I love lamb} but it tasted as tho it was not freshly cook and had no taste.Other than that they had a good wide menu.If you want to go the best thing would be ring and book a table. Would we go again YES apart from that little hiccup it was one of the best meals we have out in some time
