New management here is beginning to work. Called in for a quick bite at lunchtime and delighted to find they have a limited menu (4 or 5 choices) for Seniors, at under a tenner. My chicken and mushroom pie with mushy peas was excellent. There were “extras” on the menu to bulk the plate up if required. My wife’s fish and chips with mushy peas was fine too. We’ve eaten here many times and always really enjoyed the experience but yesterdays’s Sunday lunch was rather disappointing. A lovely dining room with friendly, efficient service but the quality of the meal was not up to the standard expected. The roast beef was tasty but with a lot of inedible fat and gristle and the roast potatoes were soggy rather than crisp. Not a great meal! View all feedback.

The food at this restaurant is incredible, with a great variety of beers to choose from. The service was fast and wonderful, with staff who were extremely helpful.
Put on a great spread for SHBCC cricket team, a selection of burgers, hot dogs and a great salad, a very enjoyable night, thank you Vic
I stayed in a nearby cottage for 2 nights while attending a wedding at Woodstock, and decided to eat at this restaurant on the first night. It was a great choice! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and impressive. Make sure to stop by if you're passing through, you won't be disappointed!
Wow!! A great find… the food is fantastic! I had lamb shank and it was fabulous. Portion sizes are generous, the staff are really friendly and provided great service… we’ll be back!
