What User likes about The Blacksmiths Arms:
We ate here twice during October half term amazing pub where we were made to feel very welcome. Staff and locals were incredibly friendly. Food was delicious, Steak and Ale pie was the best I have had anywhere, Fish and chips were also fab. Portions were huge and great value for money. Great atmosphere with a wonderful log fire. We rated the gardens a 1 out of 5, as that was the only part of the restaurant we experienced. However, when we arrived at 2pm on Friday, September 8th, we were informed that the restaurant had already closed at 2 o’clock. This was surprising given that the listed hours for Fridays were supposed to be from 12:... View all feedback.

Diners rave about the generous portions, particularly the steak and ale pie, paired with a diverse selection of ales. While the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, the interior decor could use some updating. Patrons appreciate the attentive staff, especially during busy periods, who strive to ensure a pleasant dining experience. With a lovely beer garden and proximity to scenic walks, this local gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking comforting food and a true Yorkshire pub experience.
